The short version

Tough Talks collects no data. Everything you write stays on your device.

Data collection

Tough Talks has no user accounts, no registration and no login.
The app makes no network connections. Your talks, notes and debriefs are stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, usage data or analytics.
The app contains no advertising and no third-party SDKs.

Face ID / Touch ID

The optional app lock uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is processed entirely by iOS on your device; the app never sees, stores or transmits it.

Notifications

Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. They involve no server and can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings.

Backups and PDF export

Backup files (JSON) and Talk Briefs (PDF) are generated locally and shared only through the iOS share sheet at your explicit request. Where you send them is entirely your choice.

Children's privacy

Tough Talks does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new date.
